so now 2 weeks ago we have unlocked surge and after unlocking surge we are practicing him for a very long time and here we are with some tips and tricks for the surge I know we are too late but trust us when you will read this you will find our research was totally worth it

Basics -
let's start with the basics
so surge is a new chromatic brawler who has legendary chances to find him in the boxes in this season in the next season his rarity will drop to mythic and then to rare but if you have brawl pass you can unlock him at tier 30 and his skin at tier 60
the surge has four-level which can be increased by his super when his super gets charged you can use them to increase the level
his super can be charged very quickly in three shots he charges his super and 6 shots if only those split beams hit any brawler
after level four you won't get any more above.
at level one he will be very slow like 8 bit
at level two his speed will get increased he will move faster
at level three his range will be increased
at level four his attack will split in 6 after hitting any brawler
his gadget will be unlocked at level 7 like other brawlers his gadget will let you teleport to the other place like you can teleport with 8 bit but in surge's gadget, you will be teleported to 4or 5 tile from the original place
His star power is like Mr p whether his attack hiT any brawler or any object it will split in two in level 1,2,3 and 6 at level 4
Tips & Tricks
1. play defensively:
I know that in the stats option surge is shown well for offensive not defensive but here is the thing whenever surge dies he loses all his power level and he gets resets to level 1
another thing is playing offensive doesn't mean that you just go near and hit the enemy
playing offensive means hitting continuously and got killed and it's not affecting you a lot
doing this with surge is not a good idea at all because surge gets to level up when he charges his super and loses all his level up when got killed so try to play defensive this is the best thing you can do.
2. Game Modes :
talking about game modes there are many modes that are best for surge and worst for surge theoretically we thoughted that showdown event will be the best for the surge and bounty will be the worst but practically we found totally different results and all the modes are mentioned here-
solo showdown-
this is the best mode to play since the main target is to survive and also didn't need to worried about any other thing like in other game modes like gem grab or brawl ball. but as we told you this is the best but second best.
Duo Showdown :
Playing with friends is always a great idea and surge adds more fun in duo try to have a heavyweight with you to protect surge in that way you can win easily.
Gem Grab :
gem grab is neither good nor bad for surge you can play the surge in gem grab but be careful, play defensive, don't rush don't collect gems let your other friend take gems, and play like you are playing barley or tick this is the key to success
Heist:
heist is also like gem grab try to help others instead of going for breaking heist or defending your heist.
Bounty :
here we come I know you were thinking that bounty is the worst mode to play but here is the thing this is the last second-worst mode to play since the target of this mode is to kill as many brawlers as many times as you so this is not a great idea to play.
Brawl Ball:
brawl ball is one of the worst modes to play with surge here is why after you or your enemy team goal the power-up will get reset at level one which means you have to again get the power level from level 1 to level 4
still unsatisfied try to imagine this
you started the brawl ball and you are the surge the match starts and you were so lucky that at the beginning of the game you got surge at level 4 and all of sudden your team scores a point you won but wait you lost you all power levels
again the match starts and again you got the surge to level 4 the match is about to but all of a sudden enemy teams score match resets to and overtimes start
I hope now you understand why brawl ball is the worst to with surge.
Hot Zone:
probably the best to play with a surge since the main object of this mode is to capture or defense the area which you can do this very easily with a surge
3. gadget:
his gadget can teleport you to a short distance it is like a shelly dash except it can go through the walls
you can use them in two ways
1. when you are at level 4 surprise you, enemy, by teleport yourself near to him and kill him
2. when your health is very low you can use this to run away from the enemy. try to teleport yourself to the behind walls this will help you a lot.
it is always recommended to use his gadget only when you have a highly upgraded surge ie at level 2 or 3 because in those cases you may not want to reset your upgrade to level 1
4.split attack and star power
his normal attack splits in two when it hits any brawler and when you get his star power it split even if does not hit any brawler use those split attacks to chip damage who is hiding behind the walls there are many brawlers who can attack by hiding behind the walls like jacky and mostly throwers come in this category mostly throwers are low health so for you, it could be chip damage but for them, it is a disaster. just remember to be in diagonal position so that those split beams can hit any brawlers.
5.surge super jump:
when surge upgrades himself he will jump and then upgrade use this jump to save yourself from high DPS and give them 1000 points damage this could be useful when shelly is using her super,dynamike throws his super bombs, bo's mines, and many more.
6. Brawler That Can Work Amazingly:
there are many brawlers who can work well with surge a few of them are mentioned.
1. bo :
bo's gadget totem can help you in gaining you super without damaging or while waiting for health to get to back to full.
plus his stun attack can help you a lot
2- 8 bit :
An 8-bit super damage booster can help you in doing high damage even chip damage will be a danger for any brawler who will be hit by his beam.
3-heavyweights:
heavyweights can help you in preventing yourself from dying .
And Nerfs And Buffs Opinion:
1 upgrade reset:
we played with surge many times and in most of the cases we barely get the max level surge
especially at bounty
so we think that his upgrade reset should be one or two-level below not directly at level 1
but at level 4 surge becomes so overpowered that it is really to play against him so his damage should be decreased.
Conclusion:
at last, I would say that surge is overpowered when he is at level 4 but it is really hard to get to him at level 4.
playing defensive could be the biggest strategy to master surge
