basics:
penny's first gadget is pocket detonation and the second gadget is the captain's compass:
1.pocket detonation:
"Penny blows her cannon! The explosion destroys walls and deals 1500 damage to nearby enemies.
or
whenever we click on gadget button penny's cannon get destroyed and deal 1500 damage to the brawler who is near to that 2 tiles
2.captain's compass:
"Penny calls an artillery strike from her Cannon to her current location."
or
whenever we click on the gadget button her cannon shoots 4 to her location which can deal damage like a normal cannon shot ie 1680 at level 10
gadgets in different modes:
In this section, we talk about her different gadgets in different modes like gem grab, showdown, heist, etc...
1.gem grab:
in gem grab both the gadget can work well whether you use her first or second gadget but the type map can change make a change we will talk about this later...
her pocket detonation gadget can be used to kill brawlers or can be used to defend other brawlers.
while her second gadget captain compass can also be used as both offensive and defensive but we saw players using them mainly for the defense like any brawler near to you is out of ammo use her captain's compass to protect your teammates
2.showdown:
in the solo showdown, her first gadget pocket detonation is good because she has a very low reloading speed so her pocket detonation gadget can help her when someone follows you to kill just place the cannon in front of you in that way you will get the time to activate the gadget at the perfect moment
we recommend you use pocket detonation
in duo showdown, her captain's compass is good because you need something to defend your team and captain's compass is made for this type of work while pocket detonation can be useful but you need to have her star power balls of fire or last blast to make it useful also there could be very low chances hitting a brawler with the last blast.
we recommend you use the captain's compass
3.brawl ball:
in brawl ball basically, players place the cannon at the back so it is a good idea to have the captain's compass with you in brawl ball
pocket detonation can be used to break a wall if there is a team is coming in a group just place the cannon near to them and use her gadget
we recommended you use pocket detonation
4.heist:
in the heist, your main target is to hit the heist as fast as you can and the captain's compass can be a good option to use
pocket detonation is that much good in the heist

5.siege:
in the siege, you have to defend yourself while collecting nuts so it is a good idea to have a captain's compass
while to protect bot coming from the enemy team or dealing damage to enemy siege pocket detonation could be good

6.bounty:
every shot counts in bounty so captains' compass is a good gadget to use this gadget can be more useful when you have players like dynamike and tick with you, you can defend them with your gadget.

7.hot zone:
in the hot zone, you have to capture the zone and try to stay inside the area of the hot zone so there is no reason left not to use the captain's compass

8.event:
not recommended to play with the penny. her reloading speed is slow she doesn't have high health to survive
compatible star power:
penny's first gadget[pocket detonation] can be used with any star power both work amazing but I think last blast star power works too good with this pocket detonation
penny's second gadget can also be used with any star power both are great but her gadget captains compass with balls of fireworks amazingly that really set the ground on fire
against brawler:

for short-range brawlers like rosa, el primo, bull, Mortis, jacky, etc.. her gadget pocket detonation is perfect just place the cannon in front of you, in that way you will get the time to activate the gadget at the perfect moment
for long-range and mid-range brawlers LIKE shelly, colt, 8 bit, piper, bea, gale, etc...
brawlers can shot your cannon by far distance so her pocket detonation is good against them
but her captain's compass is good, not perfect for long-range.
for thrower brawlers like sprout, barley, dynamike, etc...
for throwers captains, the compass is a perfect counter for them

indifferent maps:
maps with lots of walls :
pocket detonation is a good choice to use as they can help in breaking the walls this could play an important role in matches like brawl ball
maps with a lot of bushes:
again pocket detonation is perfect for this as the enemy can't see where is the cannon placed this surprise them with the 1500 damage to their matches in a heist where the whole field is covered with the bushes is a perfect example
open field :
in the open field captain's compass is good because penny doesn't have a lot of health so this could help in playing against matches against bull and piper
Damage:
pocket detonation can deal on 1500 per gadget use and 4500 per match if all explosion hits brawlers
captains compass can deal as low as 1680 and a maximum of approx 4800 per shot and 14400 damage in a match which hard but can be achieved.
at last.....
if you are playing alone use her pocket detonation gadget that could help you in defending yourself
while in a team use captain's compass that can help you in defending your teammates.
