ps: both gadgets are good both have their own advantage of using them
so let's get started.....
basics::
Multiball launcher:
Rico blasts waves of bouncy bullets in all directions
or--
Rico throws bullets in 8 directions, which can deal 320 damage per bullet. they act like Rico bullet in super ie they will hit the wall multiple times but will deal damage only once per bullet.
Bouncy Castle:
Rico's next attack will heal him for 300 health from each bounce of a projectile
decoded version:
Rico will heal 300 per bullet which will hit the walls.
usage:
Multiball launcher:
- With this gadget, Rico can deal massive damage to any brawler if used in the proper place.
- this gadget can deal up to 4800 damage if all the shots land on any brawler, which is not possible.
- use this gadget in places where there is a small block type area so that bullets can bounce over the wall multiple times in that way you can deal massive damage.
- this gadget makes him more playable against heavyweight and throwers because his bullet bounces can hit brawlers behind the walls also.
- the range of the bullets is 12tiles.
Bouncy castle :
- This gadget can be good against brawlers who do chip damage like - tick, gene, sprout, etc...
- With One ammo Rico can heal up to 1500 if his shots hit walls only once.
- to heal up to max health Rico needs to bounce his bullet shots at least 2 and a half times or you can say 3 times on walls which are pretty easy to do.
- his gadget bouncy castle can help him in staying more on the ground without dying.
gadgets in different modes:
In this section, we talk about her different gadgets in different modes like gem grab, showdown, heist, etc...
1.gem grab:
in gem grab your target is to grab the 10 gems and stay alive for 15 sec
both the gadgets are good but since Rico is a low health brawler and already has a lot of things to deal massive damage so I think bouncy castle can be a good gadget

2.showdown:
in solo showdown :
in the solo showdown, players try to hide in bushes and wait until a point comes when they will not lose any trophy then they start attacking and there are high chances that you may get killed by them easily
also, the poison cloud increases its range after every few seconds which makes the ground smaller and smaller as time passes, so you need something to heal so go for the bouncy castle.
we recommend you use: bouncy castle
in duo showdown, you have to play in the team
in duo showdown both the gadgets are good, neither of them helps you teammates, so go as per your teammate if your teammate is going for a healer then go for the multiball launcher, else go for the bouncy castle

3.brawl ball:
in brawl ball, your target is to score a goal as fast as you can, although Rico is a good brawler if you want to learn how to play trick shots due to his low health scoring is a bit tuff, but since in most of the brawl ball maps, there will always be lots of walls and small block area,
so I think it depends on you how you play, if you are a player who plays aggressively then go for multiball launcher because it can help you in saving goals and also maintaining pressure, while bouncy castle helps him to stay more in position instead of dying.
but still, I recommend you to go multiball launcher you will find it way more easy to use then bouncy castle

4.heist:
in the heist, you have to damage the enemy heist to win the match, and also you have to defend your heist also.
Rico is known for his chaining super which can deal massive damage to the enemy heist, in heist Rico is mostly used for defending and maintaining or handling pressure, due to his bouncy shots,
so I think you should go for the multiball launcher because you can deal even more massive damage to the heist, and also when you need to damage brawlers

5.Siege:
in the siege, I would say go for the bouncy castle, because collecting bolts is the key to win in the siege, and Rico's health is too low that even after collecting he may get killed easily by any brawler

6.bounty:
In bounty, your target is to kill brawlers as many times, as you can, and for this Rico's first gadget multiball launcher is really good, also his gadget bouncy castle, will only be used when you will able to use that, ie you will have low health you may get panic and waste your gadget, so if you are a person who doesn't panic in low health go for a bouncy castle but I will recommend you to for multiball launcher.

7.hot zone:
in the hot zone, your target is to capture the hot zone before the enemy team. also you have to stand in a particular circular area, and let the enemy team out of the zone.

8.event:
in events, he not a good brawler in anyways, but the big game is an exception, and I am not sure but maybe you may not heal by his gadget and even if he can heal that would be really low for him neglectable.
the best gadget for the events is the multiball launcher.
compatible star power:
both star power and gadgets work amazing with each other but if you ask me which gadget should go with the star power then here are my suggestions
for his first gadget multiball launcher can deal massive damage with super bouncy, Rico will deal +124 more damage if it hit the wall and bounces on the enemy [only once], so if you wanna be a bot killer 9000 then go for this combo
multiball launcher + super bouncy
for his second gadget bouncy castle, his star power Robo retreat is good mainly it is good when you are in danger and about to die, with this combo you can instantly move back heal yourself and come to the ground.

against brawler:
for short-range brawlers like rosa, el primo, bull, Mortis, jacky, etc...
for short-range brawlers, his gadget multiball launcher is really good because most of the brawlers will come near to you and try to kill you and the multiball launcher can help you in deal extra damage.
for long-range and mid-range brawlers LIKE shelly, colt, piper, bea, gale, etc...
since these brawlers will mostly attack from a far distance so you can simply go for a bouncy castle to hide behind walls and heal yourself
for thrower brawlers like a sprout, barley, dynamike, etc....
the multiball launcher can bounce behind the walls and can deal damage and chip damage to throwers is always big damage for them
indifferent maps:
maps with lots of walls :
in maps with a lot of walls, recoil spring can be useless because walls can limit the range so I would say that you should go for the spark plug also his spark plug works behind the walls and that is what makes this gadget even more useful than recoil spring
maps with a lot of bushes:
you can go for any gadget both the gadgets are useless in these types of maps, and any brawler hiding in bushes can kill you easily, but still, your bouncy castle is just ok.
open field :
in the open field, the option to heal via bouncy castle gadget is walls, so it is not a good idea to use bouncy castle in these types of maps
Damage:
obviously, the multiball launcher is the only gadget that can deal, and if all the shots land on brawler then he can deal up to 4800 damage which is almost impossible, but this can be good gadget to destroy siege and heist when they less than 10% health left

Rico is a player-dependent brawler, if you are a player who likes to play aggressive then use his multiball launcher it is a really good gadget to play aggressive.
and if you like to ply defensive like me then go for the bouncy castle
